Esperanza Resendiz

LIGONIER — Esperanza Resendiz, 47, of Ligonier, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at 8:18 a.m. at Elkhart General Hospital after a brief illness.

She moved to Ligonier in 1994 coming from Mexico and was a dedicated homemaker.She was a member of Eben-ezer Evangelistic Center in Ligonier. She loved cooking, spending time with her family and doing God’s work.

She was born Nov. 13, 1962, in Aguascalientes, Mexico, to Jose Estrada Alonso and Maria Martinez Macias. She married Refugio Resendiz in 1982 and he survives in Ligonier.

Also surviving are five children and spouses, Adriana (Jose) Rodriguez of Ligonier, Yessica (Guillermo) Silva of Ligonier, Refugio Resendiz Jr. of Ligonier, Jorge (Marie) Resendiz of Ligonier and Victor Hugo Resendiz of Ligonier; five grandchildren; and 10 siblings, all of Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be Tuesday December 22, 2009 at 5 p.m. at Templo Betel, Ligonier, with Pastor Peter Tamayo of Eben-Ezer Evengelistic Center, Ligonier, officiating.

A calling will be held Monday December 21, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Templo Betel, Ligonier.
