Martha "Marty" Jean Leitch

Martha "Marty" Jean Leitch, age 83, of Smalley Lake of Kimmell, died on December 9, 2009 at 11:13 AM after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on April 19, 1926 to John B. & Iva Mae (Coats) Clouse in Green Township, IN. She married Carroll "Peck" V. Leitch in Albion on August 10, 1946. They were married for 63 years.

Martha was a lifetime area resident. She retired from Dana after 26 years of service & was a dedicated homemaker.

She was a member of Stone's Hill Community Church in Ligonier and also liked to cook, fish, hunt mushrooms and go to garage sales. Most of all, she loved her family.

She is survived by her husband Carroll, 1 daughter: Nancy (Ed) White of Larwill, 4 sons: Norman (Marcia) Leitch of Kimmell, Russell (Colleen) Leitch of Kimmell, Tim (Helen) Leitch of Albion, Bruce (Helen) Leitch of of Kimmell, 19 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and a sister: Edith Romine of Kimmell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister: Betty Clouse, 7 brothers: Junior, Russell, James, Benard, Harry, William & Donald Clouse.

A funeral service for Martha will be held on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Stone's Hill Community Church- 151 Stone's Hill Road, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor Joey Nelson & Thomas Carroll Leitch officiating. Burial will be in Merriam Christian Chapel in Merriam, IN. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Stone's Hill Community Church from 2-4 & 6-8 & 1 hour prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Tim Leitch, Tom Leitch, Craig Leitch, Aaron Leitch, Adam Leitch, Troy Byall, Rhonda Bergman & Sherry Byers. Honorary pallbearers will be Melissa Goodyear, Angie McClellan, Erica Leitch, Emily Bonner, Michelle Meade, Aaron Allman, Ben Byall, Marc Byall, Edward Leitch, Anthony Leitch, Ashley Leitch & Allen Gordon.
