Sonja Jo Ottinger

Sonya Jo Ottinger, age 47, of Cromwell, IN passed away unexpectedly November 19, 2009 while at home.

She was born on February 10, 1962 in Huntington, IN to Jay Rittenhouse & Nancy Sands. She married Mark Ottinger on May 23, 1981.

Sonja moved to the are in 1990 coming from Columbia City. She worked as a licensed massage therapist, was a member of Broadway Christian Church, enjoyed reading & writing poetry, & possesed a special love for people.

Survivors include her husband: Mark Ottinger of Cromwell, 3 children: Kari (Jose) Antunez of Ligonier, Justin Billy Ottinger of Cromwell, and Bradly (Megan) Ottinger of Churubusco; 4 grandchildren: Keegan & Makynzie Ottinger, Eliana & Elias Antunez; 2 sisters: Penni (Mark) Sievers of Columbia City, Kelly Townsend of Burkett; 1 brother: Allen Golden of Jefferson City, MO; a step-father: Lee Golden of Syracuse, a step-mother: Fran Rittenhouse of Monticello, & her grandmother: Josephine Sands of Huntington. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be held for Sonja on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Broadway Christian Church- 0208 N. 900 W. Kimmell, IN 46760, with Reverend Richard Rensner officiating. A viewing will be held on Sunday November 22, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
