Carolyn Knights

Carolyn Knights, 57 Formerly of South Bend, IN was born in Osceola, Arkansas to the union of Odell and Willie Mae Knights. She received her education from Farragut High School in Chicago, Illinois graduating in 1977. Carolyn Knights had a passion for education and worked as a Teacher's Aid in the South Bend Community School Corporation for many years touching the lives of children.

Later relocating to Muskegon, Michigan Carolyn worked as a health aid at the Brookhaven Medical Care Facility. Our mother was known in the kitchen for her cakes, pies, and talked about recipes, participating in weekly bake sales. She kept the faith and attended Holy Trinity Church COGIC under the leadership of Bishop Nathaniel Wells Jr., Senior Pastor.

Mother, sister, grandma, aunt and friend leaves to cherish her loving memory: Two Daughters, Latoya (Kinyati) McAllister of Norton Shores, MI, Kathy Johnson of Muskegon, MI and One Son Walter Lee Johnson Jr. of South Bend, IN; Special Friend of 17 years, Darryl Storks of Muskegon, MI., one Sister Mary Ann Bradley, one Brother Jerome Hood both of Chicago, IL. Grandchildren: Tiquawn Knights, Tiquawna Johnson, Dominique Johnson, Da’shawn Johnson, Asia Johnson, Samarrii Johnson, Walter Johnson, Devin James, Kinyana McAllister, her great-grandchildren Jayce Johnson and Cali’ah Knights  and a host of Nephews, Nieces and Step Children whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a Brother Danny Lee Knights, a Sister Patricia Ann Wright-Bradley, one grandson Walter Johnson III and a very special cousin Doris Marie Davis.

A Celebration of life Service will take place on Friday March 31, 2017 at Faith Apostolic Ministries 909 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN. Funeral Service 12 Noon with a Viewing one hour prior.
