Brandy Lynn Cooley, age 53, of Topeka, IN, passed away in her home on Thursday, February 16, 2017 after a long illness. She was born on November 8, 1963 in Marion, IN to William Lee Cooley and Portia (Holcom) Swininger.
Brandy was a West Noble Alumnus and has lived in the area most of her life. She also was a second mother and grandmother to several children throughout her life. Fishing, the races, music, dancing, bonfires, camping, motorcycles, antique cars, traveling, crocheting, wrestling, cooking and baking are the many things she did to keep herself busy. Her favorite thing to do was give homemade gifts to many of her friends. Brandy truly loved all her animals, her family, and game nights with friends. She had a wonderful laugh and lots of friends to share it with. Being a part of a well-executed prank, really made Brandy smile. She never had a lot but would always share whenever she could. Her kindness, love, loyalty, and laughter will always be remembered by those who were lucky enough to come to know her.
She is survived by her mother Portia Swininger of Kendallville, IN, sons; Allen Cooley of Fort Wayne, IN and Cordell White of Topeka, IN. Also she leaves behind her fiancée, Richard Ratliff of Topeka, IN, sister; Sherry (Brian) Bogdon of Hamilton, MT, brothers; William Cooley II of Wabash, IN, and Rusty Wicker of Albion, IN, and grandchildren; Kyana, McKenzie and Allen Jr.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Gertrude Christman and her father William Cooley.
