Susie D. Miller

Susie D. (Nissley) Miller, age 91, of Topeka, IN passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2:05 pm at her residence. She was born on October 5, 1925 in Conway Springs, Kansas to David and Mary (Troyer) Nissley. On November 7, 1946 she married Melvin J. Miller. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

She is survived by three sons, Mervin (Sue) Miller and Crist (LeAnna) Miller, both of Topeka, IN, and David (Katherine) Miller of Ligonier, IN; five daughters, Mary (Mervin) Miller of Topeka, IN, Clara (Marion) Miller of Howe, IN, Rose (Ira Lee) Hochstetler of Wolcottville, IN, Sara (Mervin) Whetstone of LaGrange, IN, and Lena (Perry) Lehman of Middlebury; 43 grandchildren; 122 great-grandchildren; along with a step-sister, Rosie (Levi) Eash.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, one brother, one sister, and a great-grandson.

Friends may call after 1 PM on Sunday, January 15, 2017 and all day Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Crist Miller Residence, 5805 S 300 W; Topeka, IN.

A funeral service will begin at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the David Miller Residence, 5780 S 300 W, Topeka, IN. Bishop Christy Mast and the home ministers will officiate. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery, LaGrange, IN.

Pallbearers will be LaVern Whetstone, Christy Otto, Merle Miller, Freeman Bontrager, Lyle Schwartz, and Steven Miller.
