Delma Yoder

Delma Yoder, age 87, of Ligonier, IN, passed away at 7:30 AM Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Avalon Village in Ligonier. She was born on December 22, 1921 to Melvin & Ella (Keister) Wright in Cromwell, IN. On September 1, 1940 she married Charles J. Yoder. He preceded her in death.

Delma was a lifelong area resident and a dedicated homemaker. She was a 1940 graduate of Cromwell High School & a member of the Ligonier Evangelical Church.

She is survived by 2 sons: Stephen C. (Sylvia) Yoder of South Windsor, CT and John L. (Laurel) Yoder of Eugene, OR; 2 sisters: Nada Gaff of Ligonier, Melva Wolf of Marshall, MI; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: 1 daughter: Charleen Martin of Ligonier, her parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother.

A funeral service will be held for Delma on Friday August 21, 2009, at 10:30 AM at the Ligonier Evangelical Church with Pastor Dave Kushman officiating. Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday August 20, 2009, from 4-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ligonier Evangelical Church.
