Eric P. Phelps

Eric Peter Phelps, age 47, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, died on Friday, December 23, 2016 as the result of complications from a stroke. He was born April 28, 1969 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of J. Michael Phelps Jr. M.D. and Ellen L. Phelps.  He is survived by the love of his life Sandy Trevino, Step children Andres, Anjelica, and Adriana; a grandchild, Aria of Ft. Wayne; Parents, J. Michael Phelps Jr. M.D. and Ellen Phelps of West Lafayette; a brother, Tad (Paula) Phelps of Pocatello Idaho; along with nieces, Megan and Julia. Eric graduated from Wittenberg University and was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He had served as an intern for Senator Richard Lugar, and participated in the People-to-People Collegiate Ambassador Program. Eric was employed by Accutemp as a CFSP, CC Corporate Chef/Sales Assistant.  Eric enjoyed traveling to Marco Island, Florida. He was an avid sports enthusiast, played golf, enjoyed cooking, and loved wine tasting. Eric also enjoyed target shooting as a hobby. A celebration of Eric’s life will be held from 1-4 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Casa’s Banquet Room, 7545 West Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804.
