Theresa D. Johnson

Mrs. Theresa Johnson, age 59, of Elkhart, IN formerly of Edwardsburg, MI passed away at 3:48 PM Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on June 20, 1950 in South Bend, IN to Philip & Elsie (Roelandts) Fowler. On July 10, 1971 she married Jeff L. Johnson, he survives.

Theresa moved to Elkhart in 2003, after residing in Edwardsburg, MI for over 20 years. She was a dedicated homemaker. Theresa was a 1969 graduate of Niles High School. She attended Hope United Methodist Church in Edwardsburg, MI. She enjoyed collecting Snoopy & Precious Moments memorobilia and was very fond of animals. She had a great love for her family and especially her grandchildren. Theresa will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by: her husband, two children: Jeff Jr. (Rhonda) Johnson of Edwardsburg, MI and Elsa (Arturo) Salinas of Elkhart, IN, 8 grandchildren: Deion, Zachary, Sean, Wesley, Brett, Kayla, Candi & Justice; her mother: Elsie Fowler formerly of Mishawaka, currently of New Carlisle, IN; 3 brothers: Fred (Helen) Fowler of Niles, MI; Robert (Carole) Fowler of Las Vegas, NV; Leroy (Connie) Fowler of Elkhart, IN; 2 sisters: Phyllis (Gene) Lee of Mishawaka, IN; Gerry (James) DeCraene of Niles, MI; and many nieces and nephews & great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father: Philip Fowler and a brother: Richard Fowler.

A funeral service for Theresa will be held on Thursday August 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Hope United Methodist Church- 69941 Elkhart Rd. in Edwardsburg, MI 49120 with Pastor Jeff Reese & Minister Lee Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Edwardsburg Cemetery- Edwardsburg, MI. A visitation will be held on Wednesday August 5, 2009 from 6-8 PM at Hope United Methodist Church.
