Maurice D. Yoder

Maurice (Morrie) D. Yoder, 81, of Topeka, IN passed away Tuesday June 30, 2009 at 1:10 PM at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville, IN. He was born May 14, 1928 in Topeka, IN to Elva and Nellie (Hostetler) Yoder. On December 22, 1946 he Married Phyllis Hoak, she survives.

Morrie was a lifelong area resident and a member of the First Baptist Church of Kendallville.

Surviving along with his wife Phyllis of Kendallville, IN are
a son; Michael (Linda) Yoder of Kendallville, IN, Daugher; Jane (Danny) Whitaker of Osceola, IN, grandchildren; Amy (Andrew) Begley of Beaverton, OR, Marcia (Rich) Presser of Fort Wayne, IN, Tyler Pappas of Osceola, IN, Phillip Yoder of Kendallville, IN, Tami (Jon) Pyfer of Elkhart, IN, great-grandchildren; Elise and Ryan Yoder and Mitchell Pappas, Sister; Joan Hughes of Hamilton, IN, brothers; Dwight Yoder of Virginia, Jim (Doris) Yoder of Newton, Kansas, Gary (Paula) Yoder of Rochester, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Billy Yoder.

A funeral service will be held Friday July 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Topeka Baptist Church, 104 North Street, Topeka, IN with Pastor Harry Smith and Pastor Gene Parker officiating. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery, Topeka, IN.

Viewing will be Thursday July 2, 2009 from 5-8 PM and one hour prior to the service at the Topeka Baptist Church.
