Irven L. Senders, Jr.

Irven Laverne “Irv” Senders Jr., age 65, of Ligonier, IN, formerly of central Illinois, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at home. He was born on January 29, 1951 the son of Irven Laverne and Delores (Simpson) Senders Sr. On December 14, 1969 he married Kathleen Blakey in Wyoming, IL; she survives.

Also surviving are three children, Ty Senders of Warsaw, IN, Rachel (Kenny) Skaggs of Wolcottville, IN, and Eric (Gretchen) Senders of Syracuse, IN; ten grandchildren and one great-grandson; his mother, Delores Senders of Monica, IL; and five siblings, Chuck, Randy, Marty, Carly, and Terry. He was preceded in death by his father; and three siblings, Jerry, Kenny, and Carla Mae.

Irv served his country honorably in the United States Marines during Vietnam. He loved to catfish and shoot pool like a shark.

A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center. The family will host a public memorial service in his honor at a later date in his hometown town of Monica, Illinois.
