Eugenia Gomez

Eugenia Gomez, age 89 of Ligonier, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 24, 2016 at her residence in Ligonier, IN. She was born September 3, 1926 the daughter of Guadalupe and Cesaria (Guillen) Mosqueda in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Eugenia was a woman of many talents. She enjoyed carrying out a conversation, singing, and worshiping at home. A dedicated mother to her very large family, she always found time to spend with everyone. She is survived by her children: daughter’s, Natalia Gomez, Maria Gomez, Regula Gomez, Alberta (Isaias) Espinosa, Maria L. (Marco) Gallegos, son’s, Felipe Gomez, and Marcos (Beatriz) Mosqueda; 30 grandchildren and numerous “greats” including great –grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as her brother, Eugenio Mosqueda. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Cesaria Mosqueda; her loving husband, Cleofas Gomez; sister, Olivia Molina; brothers, Miguel Mosqueda and Juan Mosqueda; daughter-in-law, Rosa Gomez; brother-in-law, Jose Villarreal; and sister-in-law, Maria de Jesus Villarreal. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 12PM at Yeager Funeral Home – 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767. Friends and Family may gather at the Funeral Home on from 10AM – 12PM for a formal visitation prior to the service. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, IN following the service.
