Daniel Jacobs

Daniel Jacobs, age 72, of Ligonier, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 24, 2016 at the Kendallville Manor in Kendallville, IN. He was born June 2, 1944 the son of Hilson and Sallie Jacobs in Pippapass, KY. In July of 1965 he married Anna Weaver in Pippapass, KY. She has preceded Daniel in death on June 9, 2004.

Daniel was a man of simple means. He really enjoyed the outdoors and creating music on his acoustic guitar. Country gospel and regular country music were his favorite selections when he turned on the radio.

He is survived by his son, Bob (Christina) Jacobs; grandson, Bradley Jacobs both of Elkhart, IN, brother, Manuel (Moselle) of Rome City, IN; in-laws, Ervin (Ella) of LaGrange, IN, Ray (Helen) Hochstetler of Topeka, IN, Mary Weaver of Shipshewana, IN, Howard (Esther) Miller of Ligonier, IN, Edna Bontrager of LaGrange, IN, Lydia Borntrager of Goshen IN, Harry (Mary) Weaver of Topeka, IN, David Wenger of LaGrange, IN, Harley (Ella) Weaver of West Delton, WI, and Elva (Martha) Miller of Ligonier, IN; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilson and Anna Jacobs; his son, David Jacobs; sister, Dorella Jacobs; brother, Charles Jacobs; and in-laws, Calvin Weaver, Harvey Borntrager, Lester Bontrager, Susie Wenger, and Elsie Miller.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 1PM at Yeager Funeral Home – 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Carl Richie will officiate.
Friends and Family may gather at the Funeral Home from 11AM – 1PM for a formal visitation prior to the service.

Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, IN following the service.
