Bonnie M. Fought

Bonnie M. Fought, age 67, of Topeka, IN passed away Sunday June 7, 2009 at 9:37 PM at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 18, 1942 in Rugby, ND to Marlin C. & Arla M. (Hanson) Sather. On March 18, 1961 she married David R. Fought, he survives.

Bonnie moved to Topeka, Indiana in 1957. She was a member of the Topeka United Methodist Church where she led a bible study class. She had a great love for genealogy, enjoyed crafts and needlework, bird watching and wildlife photography.

Surviving along with her husband David of Topeka, IN are 2 sons: Martel D. Fought of Topeka, IN, Daniel W. Fought of Topeka, IN; a daughter: Jayne R. (Adam) Fought-Schlemmer of Goshen, IN; 4 grandchildren: Benjamin Weigel, Samantha Weigel, Garrett Lamb, Tyler Dahl-Schlemmer and a Sister: Marla (Edwin) Yoder of Rugby, ND.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 11, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Topeka United Methodist Church, 124 West Pine Street, Topeka, IN 46571 with Pastor Diana Siegel officiating. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery, Topeka, IN.

Viewing will be Wednesday June 10, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN. and from 9:30-10:00 AM Thursday prior to the funeral service at the church.

Memorial contributions will be to the Topeka United Methodist Church for the care of Eden Cemetery, 124 West Pine Street, Topeka, IN 46571
