Vincent Joseph Jankauskis

Vincent J. Jankauskis, age 90, passed away May 17, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syrause, IN Monday Morning. He was born in Chicago, IL on July 19, 1925 the son of Joseph and Agatha Jankauskis.

Vincent was honorably discharged from the United States Army and was an avid trainer and breeder of German Shepherds. Vincent retired as a Retail Administrator from Sears Roebuck Company in Mishawaka, IN. He was a long time resident of Ligonier, in Noble County where he enjoyed sports especially the Chicago Blackhawks. His favorite pastime was to frequent fast food establishments, coffee shops and scoot about town.

He survived by his niece Marianne Busch of Tinley Park, IL. Flores and Moser Families, both of Ligonier, IN. Vince’s good friends at Miller’s Merry Manor along with many other acquaintances.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Agatha, wife of many years; Bernice Billiter, Step Daughter and Son-in-law; Carolyn (Willie) Elza, Sister; Ann Kasputis.

A funeral service will be held in Mr. Jankauskis’s honor on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 1PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor Michael Stanley officiating. Burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, IN. Friends may call upon the funeral home from 12PM – 1PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
