Monroe "Sonny" Beachey

Monroe “Sonny” Beachey, age 59, of Topeka, IN, passed away suddenly on Friday April 1, 2016. He was born on October 5, 1956 in LaGrange County, IN., to the late Alvin and Mary (Yoder) Beachey. On June 4, 2005 he married Anita Flannery, she survives. Sonny spent time in Fairmount, IN for the James Dean festival. His collection of show cars was something he took pride in. His love for his granddaughter showed through and through. He may have teased his nieces and nephews, but he had the heart to care for everyone in his family. Sonny will be remembered as the guy who liked everybody and everybody liked him. He will be missed by his wife of 11 years; Anita (Flannery) Beachey of Topeka, IN; step-son; Casey J. (Stefanie) Dermont of Warren, OH., granddaughter; Nealy Dermont of Warren, OH., brothers; Ernest (Lil) Beachey of Fisher, IL., Willie Beachey; of Kokomo, IN; Louie (Sara) Beachey of Topkea, IN; 13 nieces and nephews. Sonny is preceded in death by his mother and father, sisters; Katie White and Martha Yoder and two sisters-in-law; Charlette Beachey and Edna Beachey. A funeral service will be held in Sonny’s honor on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11AM at the Eden Worship Center. Pastor Harold Gingerich will officiate. An hour of visitation will take place prior to the service on Friday.
