Martha Ann Coburn

Martha Ann Coburn, age 60, of Ligonier, IN passed away April 26, 2009 at 6:00 AM at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on June 26, 1948 to Joe and Roalice (Wheatley) James in Norton, Virginia. On September 1, 1984 she married Rick Coburn. He survives.

Martha moved to Ligonier in 1965 from Sandusky, Ohio. She retired from Silgan Plastics after over 20 years of service. She enjoyed candy making, baking, bingo, going to the flea market, beanies, camping and fishing.

She is survived by her husband Rick of Ligonier, 3 children: Cindy (Bruce) Kruetzer of Auburn, AL; Celinda "CeeCee" Ratliff of Goshen; Thomas Jr."Tommy" (Marcy) Kuemmell of Ligonier, 12 grandchildren, 3 great- grandchildren, her mother: Roalice James of Ligonier, 2 sisters: Glenna Clark of Ligonier, Jody Stump of Ligonier, 1 brother: Jeff James of Topeka, several nieces and nephews, all her friends, and her dogs: Ginger and Nicole.

Martha was preceded in death by her father: Joe James and her daughter Christina Hilker.

Funeral services for Martha will be Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 2 PM at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier with Pastor Jimmy Shepherd officiating. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends on Tuesday April 28, 2009 from 2-8PM and 1 hour prior to the service at Yeager Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.
