Gregory Alan Hostetler

Gregory Alan Hostetler, age 53, of Topeka, IN went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, January 2, 2016. He was surrounded by his loving family. Gregory was born in Elkhart County, IN on November 30, 1962, the son of Mervin and Margaret (Miller) Hostetler. On April 16, 1999 he married Teri Beth Leannais.


He is survived by his beloved family; wife, Teri Beth Hostetler of Topeka, IN; children, Zachary Hostetler and Andrew Hostetler both of Topeka, IN Erica (Izaak) Landgraff of Brownsburg, IN, Jordan (Lynsey) Hostetler of Howe, IN, Eden (Brian) Miller of Topeka, IN; grandchildren, Cole, Cash, Kenady, Declan, Kalaya, and Easton; siblings, Sharee (Frank)Hartman of New Paris, IN, Lynnell (Jim) Eash of Bronson, MI, Bradley (Cynthia) Hostetler of Shipshewana, IN, Diantha Hostetler of Goshen, IN, and Todd (Lou Anne) Hostetler of Middlebury, IN; brother and sister-in-law, Diana (Craig) Few of Sturgis, MI; mother and father-in-law, Davetta (Frank) Tagariello of Pompano Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend and dog Chewy.


Gregory was welcomed into everlasting life by his brother Jeffery Lee Hostetler and a brother-in-law Daniel Leannais


He was a well-respected Standardbred Horseman and was very passionate about his profession. Gregory’s hobbies included playing the guitar, golfing, and fishing. Above all he loved spending time with his grandkids.


A memorial service in Gregory’s honor will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2PM at New Life Fellowship, 2755 IN-5, Topeka, IN 46571. Pastors Drew Ryall and Larry Byrnes will officiate. A visitation will be held from 10 AM to 2PM prior to the service at the church. A private cremation committal has taken place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier, IN.
