Lorene Weimer

Lorene L. Weimer, age 71, of Ligonier, IN passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 6:10 AM at Miller's Merry Manor in Lagrange, IN after an extended illness.

She was born September 15, 1937 in Warsaw, IN to Leonard and Lillian (Shroyer) Mauzy. She married John A. Weimer August 5, 1955. He preceded her in death in 2005. Lorene was a lifelong area resident. She attended the Ligonier Evangelical Church, enjoyed knitting and reading, but above all, loved spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.

Survivors include:Children, Kim (Dennis) Sprunger of Ligonier, Matt (Cheryl) Weimer of Howe, Rusty (Cheryl) Weimer of Howe, Craig (Linda) Weimer of Ligonier, 3 Brothers, Leonard "Bud" (Norma) Mauzy of Fort Wayne, Larry (Brenda) Mauzy of Tulsa, OK, Terry (Maureen) Mauzy of Michigan City, 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and step-mother, Katherine (Eppley) Mauzy.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday April 7, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Ligonier Evangelical Church, 1911 Lincolnway South with Rev. Dave Kushman and Rev. Rodger Moyer officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery, Wilmot.

Friends may call Monday April 6, 2009 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Yeager Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
