Robert E. Carpenter

Robert E. Carpenter, age 58, of Shipshewana, IN passed away Monday, March 16, 2009 at 6:09 AM at his residence. Robert was born on September 14, 1950 in Sturgis, MI to Joe R. and Myrle (Yost) Carpenter. He was a lifelong area resident.

Robert worked for Hubbard Feeds in Shipshewana, IN for 25 years prior to becoming disabled. He was also an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a lifetime member of the Bass Angler Sportsmen Society.

He is survived by 1 son: Christopher Carpenter of Shipshewana, 1 Biological Daughter: Kristi Farver of Lagrange, 3 Grandchildren: Chad, Kody & Zander; a Brother: Tom Carpenter of Shipshewana and a sister: Karen Geidner of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier with Pastor Diana Siegal officiating. There will be a visitation on Wednesday March 18,2009 from 5-8 PM and 1 hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at Eden Cemetery in Topeka, IN.
