Troy E. Bridegan, age 30, of Albion, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly February 15, 2009 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident that took place on February 14, 2009.
He was born June 12, 1978 in Columbia City, the son of Charles E. and Toni (Fry) Bridegan.
On April 25, 2001 he married Sarah R.(Neterer) and was a lifelong Noble County resident.
He worked for Steel Dynamics in Columbia City and was a previous owner of a landscaping business.
He graduated from East Noble High School and had attended ITT. He was a member of Stone's Hill Community Church in Ligonier. He had a passion for baseball and golf and was an avid IU fan. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends whom he loved dearly. Although Troy’s life ended tragically he was able to extend the possibility of life and health to others through organ and tissue donation.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Bridegan of Albion; two daughters, Breanna and Kalli and one son, Parker, all at home; parents, Charles E. (Treasa) Bridegan of Albion, Toni Gomez of Columbia City; two sisters, Jami (Chris) Pennington of Fort Wayne, and Crystal Gipe of New York, NY; one brother, James (Carrie) Gipe of Albion; two grandmothers, Pat Dubiesson of Kendallville and Rose M. Fry of Columbia City; two nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harold Fry and Charles E. Bridegan Sr.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 20, 2009, at Stone's Hill Community Church, 151 West Stones Hill Road, Ligonier, with Pastor Joey Nelson officiating.
Burial will take place at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
Visitation will be at Stone's Hill Comminty Church from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM , Thursday, February 19, 2009 and one hour prior to the service Friday.
