Earnest L. Beardsley Sr.

Earnest L. Beardsley, 75, died February 1, 2009 at 8:35 PM from natural causes at Goshen General Hospital.

Earnest was born to Clyde and Gladys (Scholfield) Beardsley in Marietta, Ohio on November 8, 1933. He married Lois Anna Jane Blair on June 26, 1955.

He moved to the area in 1964 and attended the Church of Christ. He retired from Purina Mills in Milford, IN and also worked escorting mobile homes for Redman Homes in Topeka, IN.

He is survived by his wife; Lois Anna Jane Beardsley of Kimmell, one son; Ernie Jr. (Yolanda) Beardsley of Goshen, one daughter; Cheryl (Rusty) Hollowell of Topeka , grandchildren; Adriene (Mike) Traver of Brazil, IN, Tina Beardsley and her fiance Casey James of Ligonier, Tiffany Stephenson and her fiance Joe Perry of Topeka, Michelle and Sandra Stephenson of Topeka, three step grandchildren ; Jorge, Louis and Yadira of Goshen, seven great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and a niece and caregiver Carol Kellar of Kimmell.

He was preceded in death by a brother Clyde Beardsley and a sister Ruth Best.

Services will be held on Friday February 6, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier with Celebrant Larry Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.

A visitation will be held at Yeager Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 6-8 PM and 1 hour prior to the funeral service on Friday.

Memorial contributions will be to the Lutheran Heart Center and the Goshen Cancer Care Center.
