J. Merced Rodriguez Murillo

J. Merced Rodriguez Murillo, age 59, of Ligonier, IN passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at home. He was born on September 14, 1955 to Francisco and Maria (Murillo) Rodriguez. On May 2, 1980 he married Maria Sandoval at Guadalajara, Mexico. She survives.

Merced worked at Dexter Axle as a machine operator for 14 years. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ligonier and enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Merced is survived by his wife Maria; three children, Mirna (Jesus Reyes) Rodriguez, Santiago (Lucia) Rodriguez, and Ana Rodriguez; seven grandchildren; five siblings, Irma, Ebelio, Roberto, Abel, and Mario.

Merced is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jose Refugio Rodriguez, and five siblings.

A funeral mass will be held in Mr. Rodriguez’s honor on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 4 PM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 300 Ravine Park Drive, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Father Wilson Corzo officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, IN.

There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 2-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier 46767 and one hour prior to the service at the church.
