June E. Wheeler

June Elizabeth Wheeler, age 94, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Winchester Medical Center. Mrs. Wheeler was born in 1920 in Martinsburg, WV to Harry and Mamie L. Price. On June 8, 1946 June married Max R. Wheeler in Washington, DC. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Mrs. Wheeler moved from Ormas, Indiana to Winchester, Virginia in 1993. She was a homemaker and loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. June was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Columbia City, IN and the Wolf Lake VFW Post 4717.

June is survived by her daughters, Barbara L. (Larry) Renner and Anita J. (William) Furkis; her sons, Stephen C. (Jacqueline) Wheeler and Brian M. (Susan) Wheeler; seven grandchildren, Zachary (Marita) Renner, Kara (Jed) Gammon, Zeb Lindholm, Kyle Wheeler, Ren Phoenix, Max Wheeler, and Nicole Wheeler; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in Mrs. Wheeler’s honor on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor John Lutton officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
