Ola Fry

Ola Fry, 99, of Topeka, passed away at 5:00 PM Monday, January 12, 2009 at her home of natural causes.

She was born June 9, 1909 in Haven, Kansas, to Jacob T. and Sarah (Miller) Bontrager.

She moved to Topeka in 1943 from Haven, Kansas. She was a dedicated homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

She married David D. Fry on September 20, 1928. He died in 1991.

Surviving are eight sons, Glen (Anna) Fry, Vern (Wilma) Fry, Paul (Elsie) Fry, Jacob (Susie) Fry, all of Topeka, Harvey (Mary) Fry, David (Mattie) Fry, both of Ligonier, Ira (Alma) Fry of Middlebury and Danny Fry of Kentucky; three daughters, Ada (Alvin) Lambright, Ida (Jonas) Miller, both of Topeka and Iva (Alton) Yoder of Goshen; 61 grandchildren, 264 great-grandchildren; 76 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ira Bontrager of LaGrange.

She was proceded in death by nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, four sisters and three brothers.

Calling will be after 2 PM Wednesday and all day Thursday at the family residence, 7885 W. C.R. 1200N-57, Topeka.

Services will be at 9:30 AM Friday at the Cletus Yoder residence, 7360 S. S.R. 5, Topeka, with Bishop Willard Yoder officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jr. Gingerich, Herman Mast, Olen Fry, Mahlon Yoder, Orvan Fry and Marlin Fry.

Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery, Topeka.
