Donald Earl Poyser

Donald Earl Poyser age 79 of Cromwell, IN passed away on Saturday May 2, 2015. He was born in Cromwell, IN on June 15, 1935 to George and Ethel (Hursey) Poyser. Donald married Lois Harsh on October 8, 1954 at the Cromwell Methodist Church.

Donald was a beloved and devoted pastor. He served Wolf Lake, Kimmel, Burket, Pierceton, and Pleasant Grove United Methodist Churches. Donald retired from his pastoral duty after 38 years of service. Donald served our country honorably with the National Guard. He attended Cromwell High School and Goshen College.

He is survived by his wife, 3 children, Peggi (Jerry) Benson, Randy Poyser, Diane Poyser, 3 granddaughters, Brandy (Jamie) Owens, Wendy Meredith, and Kelly (Drew) Krause. Also 3 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers, Art and Jess Poyser survive.

Preceded in death by his parents and one brother Marvin Poyser.

There will be a celebration of life service on Thursday May 7, 2015 at 11am at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor John Lutton Officiating. Burial will take place at Sparta Cemetery, Kimmel IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to a church of choice or the Gideons.
