Fredrick L. Campbell, Sr., age 86, of Ligonier, IN passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 4:30 AM at Avalon Village in Ligonier, IN. He was born on May 23, 1928 to George and Erma (Roe) Campbell. On August 28, 1948 Fredrick married Ruby Stump. She survives. He established Campbell’s Garage in 1958. Mr. Campbell enjoyed working and serving the community. He enjoyed attending auctions, traveling, and vacationing in Florida. Fred was a past member of the Sheriff’s Merit Board and the Goshen Moose. Surviving are his wife; four children, Linda (Anthony) Campbell-Jimenez of Angola, Peggy Campbell of Kendallville, Daniel (Mary) Campbell, Fred M. (Connie) Campbell; 20 Grandchildren; 41 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; four siblings, Phyllis Burnworth of Cromwell, George Campbell of Goshen, James Campbell of Galen, Texas, and Shirley Hale of Granger. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Harold Campbell and Bill Hummel. A funeral service will be held in Mr. Campbell’s honor on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11 AM at Yeager Funeral Home with Pastor John Lutton officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Wilmot, IN. There will be a time of visitation on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 2-8 PM and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
