Max I. Coy, Age, 92 of Ligonier passed away December 28, 2008 at 9:10 AM at Avalon Village in Ligonier as the result of natural causes.
He was born August 1, 1916 in Noble County to Roy & Ola (Stump) Coy. He married Edna Cripe, she preceded him in death.
Mr. Coy was a lifetime area resident & a graduate of Cromwell High School. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Army during WWII. He retired from DePew of Ligonier as a plumber after over 50 years of faithful service.He was also a member of the Ligonier Church of Christ & the Ligonier-Cromwell Lions Club.
He is survied by one son: Donald L. Coy of Ligonier, 3 grandchildren:
Trent (Jennifer) Indianapolis, Darin (Rachel) of Indianapolis, & Kelly Coy of Indianapolis, 2 Great-Grandchildren: Madelyn & Nolan of Indianapolis, &
1 Brother: James “Spud” (Shirley) Coy of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, his parents, 1 brother: Delbert John (Killed during WWII), & 1 Sister: Leone Calbeck.
A funeral service will be held
Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Yeager Funeral Home- Ligonier with Rev. Mel Harrell officiating.Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery- Ligonier.
Friends may call Tuesday, January 30, 2008 from 5-8 PM & 1 hour prior to the funeral service.
Memorial Contributions may bemade to the Ligonier-Cromwell Lions Club.
