Perry A. Mast
January 27, 1928 — December 24, 2008
Perry A. Mast, age 80, of Rome City passed away December 24, 2008 at 5:00 AM at the family residence after a brief battle with cancer.
On January 27, 1928 in LaGrange County, IN Perry was born to Amos S. & Sarah M. (Yoder) Mast.On November 3, 1949 he married Juanita Christner, she survives.
Mr. Mast, a lifelong area resident was a retired farmer & had worked for 25 years at Topeka Auction & King Animal Clinic, both of Topeka & was also a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Survivors include his wife: Juanita Mast of Rome City; two children: Wilibur (Marlene) Mast of Topeka & Frieda (Daniel) Bontrager of Rome City; 9 grandchildren & 10 great-grandchildren; 1 sister: Anna Roine of Sarasota, FL; two brothers: Harley Mast of Arcadia, FL & Glen Ezra (Edna Mae) Mast of Wawaka.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter: Anne Elaina Mast, & 2 stillborn children.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 9:30 AM at the family residence located at 1044 W NorthPort RD., Rome City, IN 46784 with Bishop Ezra Bontrager along with the home ministry officiating.
Friends may call after 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 25, 2008 & all day Friday, December 26, 2008 at the family residence.
Burial will follow the service at Clear Springs Cemetery in Topeka.
