Charles W. Leslie

Charles W. Leslie 91 of Kimmel, IN joined his heavenly father on Tuesday March 24, 2015. He was born on December 21, 1923 in Ligonier, IN to Glen and Rose (Beal) Leslie. He married Betty J. Reece on June 22, 1946. Charles retired after 21 years of service driving a semi-truck for Perfection Biscuit Company in Fort Wayne, IN. He was also engaged in farming. He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and Betty enjoyed traveling, visiting with friends, collecting toy tractors and oil cans, and going to auctions. Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Betty Leslie; a son, John (Norma) Leslie of Michigan, a Daughter, Ramona (Mona) (Joe) Myers of Columbia City, IN. 4 grandchildren, Jason (Annette) Arnold of South Whitley, IN, Stephanie (Johnathan) Berkowitz of California, Renee (Scott) Workman of Warsaw, IN, and Angie (George) Smith of Warsaw, IN. Also surviving are 9 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Alice Feece of Lakeville, IN, and Jean Poyser of Columbia City, IN. Preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 4 sisters. There will be a funeral service in Mr. Leslie’s honor on Saturday March 28, 2015 at 1:00pm with visitation 1 hour prior at Yeager Funeral Home 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Celebrant Larry Baker Officiating. Burial will take place at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmel, IN. A time of visitation will be on Friday March 27, 2015 from 4pm-8pm at Yeager Funeral Home.
