Lloyd J. Cripe, 82, of Goshen, died at 2:45 PM Tuesday at Courtyard Healthcare, Goshen.
He was born June 11, 1926 in Elkhart County. He married Alma J. Cable October 21, 1979. She survives.
Lloyd retired as a machine set up operator from Monsanto of Ligonier after 30 years of service. He served his country honorably from 1944-1946 in the United States Army. He was a member of Faith Christian Center in Goshen, DAV, VFW Post 985, and American Legion Post 30 where he was a Past Commander. Mr. Cripe was also a past member of the Goshen Amateur Radio Club, enjoyed woodworking, was very artistic and loved painting.
Survivors include his wife, Alma J. Cripe, four childen, Vonda Huff of Mishawaka, Kurt (Jill) Cripe of Fort Wayne, Renee (Greg) Miller of Goshen, and Karl (Linda) Cripe of Bristol, seven Grandchildren, nine Great Grandchildren, two Stepsons, John Steven Pamer, Jerry Allen Pamer, both of Goshen, one Stepdaughter, Lisa Ann (Juan) Olivo of Milford, seven Step-Grandchildren, and six Step-Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents and one Brother, Wilbur J. Cripe.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday, at Faith Christian Center, 1801 W. Clinton Street, Goshen. Services are set there at 10:00 AM Saturday with Pastor Kenneth Rogers officiating.
Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery in Goshen. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Faith Christian Center in Goshen.
