Chloe Jane Kidd

Chloe Jane Kidd, of Ligonier, IN and Las Vegas, NV, passed away on March 3, 2015 at 7:57 PM at the age of 78. She was born on October 22, 1936 in Noblesville, IN the daughter of Wayne & Susannah (Haverstick) Lyon. On August 17, 1975 she married Charles Kidd.

Chloe worked for 3 area banks and owned the Little Whiskers store in Glenbrook Mall. She also volunteered for the Jennie Thompson Foundation on The Beautify Ligonier project for which she was voted "Citizen of the Year" in Ligonier. Chloe additionally received many awards for her dedication and service to the community. She will always be loved, missed and remembered fondly.

She is survived by her husband Charles Kidd of Ligonier, IN and Las Vegas, NV; Two children, Greg (Barb) Shearer of Las Vegas, NV and James (Paula Myers) Shearer of Ft. Wayne, IN; step daughter, Brooke Kidd of Mt. Rainier, MD; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother John Lyon.

A funeral service will be held in Chloe’s Honor on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 10 AM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Rev. Angie Kidd will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.

Family and friends will be received from 2-8 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Yeager Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Oak Park Cemetery endowment c/o Ligonier Cemetery Association.
