Lester Hunt

Lester R. Hunt, Jr., 60, of Ligonier, passed away on February 27, 2015 in Ligonier, IN. He was born on February 3, 1955 in LaGrange County, IN to Lester R. and Ethel Gertie (LeCount) Hunt, Sr. He married Lucinda Marie Miller on April 12, 1975 in Noble County, IN. She passed away on November 16, 2011. Lester is survived by his daughters, Shelly (Jeff) Long of Ligonier and Shanna (John) Griffith of Cromwell, IN, and a son, Shawn Hunt of Treadway, TN; 6 Grandchildren; 4 Great-Grandchildren; a sister, April Hunt, of Lake Butler, FL and a brother, Lloyd Hunt, also of Lake Butler, FL. He is also survived by an uncle, Jack (Barb) LeCount, of Ligonier and an aunt, Midge Sprague, of Ligonier. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter-in-law, Michelle Hunt. He started his life as a farmer in Noble County. He went to work for Parker Hybrid Seed Company in Kimmell until it closed. He spent time as a truck driver in the area. For the last several years, he took care of the Kimmell Baseball Diamond. He loved his dogs. He was a great woodworker- he was always building something for someone. A Memorial Service in his honor will be on Tuesday March 3, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Mel Heininger will officiate. Friends may visit with the family for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center.
