Ross “Max” Musselman, age 84, of Wawaka, IN passed away on Sunday February 8, 2015 at IU Health Goshen Hospital. He was born on October 25, 1930 the son of Harvey & Katie (Storch) Musselman. On February 20, 1953 he married Marjorie Meroney in Kendallville, IN. He is survived by his bride of nearly 62 years, Marjorie Musselman of Wawaka, IN; Five sons, Philip (Peggy) Musselman of Ligonier, IN, Wayne (Robin) Musselman of Ligonier, IN, Mark (Vickie) Musselman of Wawaka, IN, Douglas Musselman of South Bend, IN and Randy (Patty) Musselman of Ligonier, IN; thirteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and Siblings, Charles (Judith) Musselman of Ossian, IN, Bobby (Helen) Musselman of Goshen, IN, and Thelma Cantrell of Fort Wayne, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two siblings, Doris Ann Musselman and Dean Musselman; and a brother-in-law, Robert Meroney. Max was a 1949 graduate of Wawaka High School. He worked on the Railroad as a young man and delivered Recreational Vehicles for decades before eventually retiring from Carriage Incorporated in Millersburg, IN. Max was a Jack of all trades and master of many. He was very talented and it showed in all he did. Max also enjoyed fixing things and in his retirement restored a 1930 Ford Model A Pickup from the ground up. He was a member of Sparta United Church of Christ in Kimmell, IN for over 20 years. A funeral service will be held in Max’s honor at 11 AM on Wednesday February 11, 2015 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Wray McCalester will officiate. Burial will follow at Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell, IN. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 and from 10 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society or Sparta United Church of Christ.
