Arlene M. Sherer

Arlene M. Sherer, 89, of Topeka, IN, passed away on January 29, 2015 in LaGrange, IN. She was born on April 21, 1925 in Ligonier, IN to Thurlo and Marie (Kreger) Gangwer. She married Russell “Butch” Sherer, Jr. on December 9, 1942. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2010.

Arlene is survived by 4 children: Connie Pounds of Boulder Creek, CA, Eugene Sherer of Topeka, IN, Peggy Wilson of Tennessee and Nancy Sherer of Greer, SC. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.

She had been employed at Starcraft in Topeka for over 20 years. She loved the outdoors.

A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier, IN. Burial will take place at a later date in Eden Cemetery in Topeka, IN.
