Ralph L. Godfrey

Ralph L. Godfrey, 92, of Ligonier, passed away at his residence on November 28, 2008.

He was born on July 23, 1916, in Noble County, Indiana, to John & Nellie (Kistler) Godfrey.Ralph was a lifetime area resident.

He married Lucille Garber on January 3, 1941 she preceded in death in 1980. He was a farmer and had worked as a Ford Mechanic for 13 years. He also worked for Moore Logging for over 20 years and served in the National Guard.

Survivors include his Son: Morris L.(Mary) Godfrey of Ligonier,4 Daughters: Karen L. (Gary) Crowder of Churubusco, Kathy L. Mahaffey, Ruth I. Godfrey, both of Ligonier and Mary E. Godfrey of Santa Rosa, CA., along with 11 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife, 1 son John: L. Godfrey, his Parents and 3 Brothers:, Carl, Fred and Roy Godfrey.

The funeral service will take place Tuesday December 2, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home, with Rev. John Lutton officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sparta Cemetry in Kimmell, IN

Friends may call Monday December 1, 2008 from 5-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
