Sandra Acord

Sandra Acord, age 64, of Ligonier, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Kendallville Manor in Kendallville. She was born on October 29, 1950 to Marjorie (Adkins) Meade in Chauncey, WV. On June 21, 1975 Sandra married Garland Acord. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2008.

Mrs. Acord attended the Ligonier Evangelical Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafts.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Beth Ann Reed-Wigent, three siblings; Rick (Brenda) Meade of Ligonier, Debbie (Farm) Nelson of Salt Rock, West Virginia, and Trudy (Rick) Williamson of Cromwell; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Mike Reed.

There will be a funeral service held in Mrs. Acord’s honor on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 1PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor Troy Diersing officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier, IN.

A time of visitation will be Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 11-1 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in c/o Yeager Funeral Home.
