Bette L. Brockett

Bette L. Brockett, age 84, of Syracuse passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 at 10:54 PM at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse, IN.

She was born May 3, 1924 to Jerry & Elizabeth (Waters) Wiseman in Mount Carmel, IL.

On January 26, 1946 she married Ronald E. Brockett, he preceded her in death on April 25, 1984.

Bette retired from GM as a secretary for Delphi in 1981 after 27 years of faithful service.

She graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1942 & went onto earn a Secretarial degree from Business College in Evansville, IN . She was a member of Ligonier Presbyterian Church, Beta Sigma Phi, & The National Secretaries Association.

She is survived by 1 Son: David W. (Sandra) Brockett of Ligonier, IN. 2 Granddaughters: Kelly E. Brockett of Snowmass, Col. & Stephanie (Scott) Borger of Kendallville,IN.

She was preceded in death by her husband & her parents.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier, IN at 10:00 AM with Rev. Stanley R. Wilson officiating. Friends may call Monday, November 24, 2008 from 3-8 PM at the funeral home. A graveside service will be helld Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Highlend Memorial Cemetery in Mount Carmel, IL at 10:00 AM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ligonier Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Kosciusko County.
