Grayson Douglas Schalinske

Grayson Douglas Schalinske, 3 months, of Albion, IN, passed away on January 21, 2015. He was born on October 3, 2014 in Ft. Wayne, IN to Gavin and Ashleigh Schalinske. He is survived by his parents of Albion; his Grandparents, George and Connie Schalinske of St. Joe, Indiana; Monica and Jeff Massie of Tuscon, Arizona; Great-Grandparents, Sandy and Jerry Calbeck of Woodstock, Georgia; George C.Schalinske of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Charles and Rosemary Sheffield of Dallas, Texas. Also surviving are his uncles, Jason Dolan of Tuscon, Arizona and Garet Schalinske of San Diego, California; a great-great-uncle, Dale Schalinske, of Augusta, Wisconsin. Grayson’s God-Parents, Matt and Natalie Patka, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, are surviving. Many, many cousins and members of his extended family also survive. He was preceded in death by a great-grandmother, Betty Schalinske; great-grandparents, Ron and Dorie Biesterveld; a great-grandmother, Lin Hansen. Grayson attended Stone’s Hill Community Church with his parents. He loved bath time and dog kisses. He was very ticklish. He enjoyed being read to. He was always happy in the morning. He liked to hold his stuffed animals, especially his good night moon. He loved trains. A funeral service in his honor will be Friday January 30, 2015 at Stone’s Hill Community Church, 151 Stone's Hill Road, Ligonier, IN 46767 at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Joey Nelson will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 11-2 P.M. at the church on Friday before the funeral.
