Mariann Schwartz

Mariann (Miller) Schwartz, age 76, of Ligonier, IN passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at 4:26 AM at her residence. She was born on May 27, 1938 to Daniel and Lavina (Lengacher) Miller in New Haven, Indiana. On September 20, 1956 she married John Schwartz. He survives.

She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She is survived by her husband; seven children, Lavina (David Kent) Pearson, Palmetto, FL, Katherine (David) Miller, Rachel (Harvey) Yoder both of Ligonier, Noah Schwartz at home, Stephen Schwartz of Elkhart, Jacob (Lorene Yoder) Schwartz of Ligonier, and Emanuel Schwartz of Elkhart ; 20 grandchildren; 44 great- grandchildren; eight siblings, Margaret (Albert) Schwartz, LaGrange, IN, Rosa (Levi) Christner, Veevay, IN, Fannie (Amos) Christner, Delhi, IA, Samuel Miller, Graybill, IN, James (Mary Jo Yoder) Miller, Hicksville, OH, Daniel (Emma Eicher) Miller, Quincy MI, sister in law, Shirley Miller, New Haven, IN, and brother in law, David Wickey, Graybill, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; two granddaughters; two brothers; and a sister.

A visitation will be held beginning after 2 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 and continuing all day Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at her residence- 10320 North 600W, Ligonier, IN 46767. A funeral service at the Merle Miller residence – 10318 North 600W, Ligonier, IN 46767 - will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 9:30 AM with Bishop Amos Bontrager and the home ministers officiating.

Pallbearers will be Crist Miller, Steven Miller, Kenneth Yoder, Lamar Yoder, Darral Schwartz, and Lyle Schwartz. Burial will take place at Hawpatch Cemetery in Topeka, IN.
