Devert Jacobs

Devert Jacobs, 58, of Cromwell, passed away on December 26, 2014 at his home.
He was born May 1, 1956 in Kott County, KY to Frank and Lydia (Slone) Jacobs.

He is survived by his companion of 34 years, Ella Scott of Cromwell; a daughter, Mary Ann Jacobs-Hall of Prestonsburg, KY; a step-son, Rob Scott of Columbia City, IN; a step-daughter, Jennifer Scott of Jackson, MI; and 3 grandchildren, Jacey Scott, Jenna Scott and Travis Beckner. Also surviving are his siblings: Frank Jacobs of Pippa Passes, KY, Jaqueline Kipp of Elkin, NC, Jean Jacobs-Hall of Topmost, KY, Kathy Barhydt of Ligonier, IN, Shirley Brewer of Cromwell, IN, Ann Glaser of Dwale, KY, Brenda Ritchie of Ligonier, IN, Helen Jacobs of Wawka, IN, Michael Jacobs of Cromwell, IN, Linda Arispe of Wawaka, IN, Glenda Slone of Pippa Passes, KY and Sonya Huff of Wawaka, IN. Many nieces and nephews are also surviving.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Johnny and Buster Jacobs and a niece, Ashley Noble.
He retired as Head Maintenance Man at Landmark Estates. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He enjoyed working on cars and fixing things, even if he had to break them first. He loved spending time watching cartoons and westerns with his grandchildren. He loved his little dog, Louie.

Private family services will be Tuesday December 30, 2014 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Ligonier.
A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier, IN.
