Garland W. Acord

Garland W. Acord, age 60 of Ligonier, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, IN.

He was born April 1, 1948 in Logan County, WV to Ermal W. & Freda I. (Holbrook)Acord.

On June 21, 1975 he married Sandra E. Meade, she survives.

He was employed by Superior Sample prior to becoming disabled. He was also a life member of the American Legion in Ligonier -Post 243.

He is survived by his wife: Sandra E. Acord of Ligonier. 1 Grandaughter: Elizabeth Anna Reed-Wigent of Cromwell. Two Sisters: Fran Grubb of Denton, TX & Wanda M. (Robert L.) Vanderpool of Tanner, WV. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.

He was preceeded in death by his Parents & his Son: Micheal B. Reed.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday October 11, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier. Pastor David Kushman will Officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery- Ligonier, IN.
