Lawrence Dode Rex

Lawrence “Dode” Rex, 68, of Ligonier, passed away on September 14, 2014 at his home. He was born on March 3, 1946 in Ligonier, Indiana to Howard and Elsie Rex. He is survived by his three children, Joey Rex of Syracuse, Amy Rex of White Pigeon, MI, Larry Rex of LaGrange, IN; nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Annette Rex; and his sister, Linda Hire. Mr. Rex received his GED and went on to serve his country honorably in the Air Force. Mr. Rex worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed putting together puzzles, models, fishing, golfing, bowling, and watching NASCAR. He loved cats. There will be a time of visitation on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 2-4PM with a memorial service in Mr. Rex’s honor at 4 PM with John Lutton officiating. A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center with burial taking place at a later date.
