Charles W. “Billy” Nichols, of Goshen, IN and formerly of Topeka, IN, passed away on Saturday July 5, 2014 at Goshen Hospital at the age of 53. He was born on September 24, 1960. He is survived by his mother, Charla Fought of Topeka, IN; two sisters, Sharla (Mark) Thompson of Topeka, IN and Rhonda (Bryon) Morgan of LaGrange, IN; nieces, Hillaree (Miles) Liston of Orlando, FL and Britney Morgan of Bronson, MI; nephews, Lincoln (Caressa) Thompson of Shipshewana, IN and Drost Morgan of LaGrange, IN; 3 great nieces and nephews, Haylee, Mackenzee, and Lex. He was preceded in death by his birth father, William Nichols and his dad, Dennis Fought; and grandparents, Roy & Dena Chatfield. Billy was a resident of Goshen Men’s Group Home. He loved to go fishing, canoe and listen to music. He was very proud to be an American and loved our flag. A funeral service will be held for Billy on Monday July 7, 2014 at Topeka United Methodist Church. Pastor Tamra Gerber will officiate. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery in Topeka, IN. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 PM prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to Goshen’s Men’s Group Home, 1717 Longwood Drive; Goshen, IN 46526.
