Michael K. Hooley

Michael K. Hooley, 59, of Topeka, passed away on June 27, 2014 at home. He was born on February 6, 1955 in LaGrange, Indiana Francis and Vera (Troyer) Hooley.

He is survived by his daughter, Vanessa Hooley, and her mother, Rhonda, of Jackson, Ohio. He is survived by 2 granddaughters, Trinity and Paisley Hooley. Also surviving are: 2 brothers, Sanford (Charlene) Hooley, of Ligonier and Donald (Barrie) Hooley of Syracuse; and a sister, Sharon (Glenn) Herschberger of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Vera Hooley and a step-son, Chase Arthur.

Michael graduated from West Noble High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed with Starcraft Bus in Goshen for almost 30 years. He was an avid NASCAR fan. There was no bigger Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan.

A time of visitation with the family will be on Monday June 30, 2014 from 3-6 P.M. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. A funeral service in his honor will be at 6 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home. Celebrant Larry Baker will officiate. Private family burial will take place on Tuesday at Shore Cemetery.
