Korean Lee Holmes, 75, of Albion (formerly of Ligonier), passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 1:25 PM. She was born on September 14, 1938 in Elkhart, IN to Evert and Grace (Bowman) Sensibaugh.
Mrs. Holmes was employed and retired from BRC after over 20 years of service. After retirement, she worked at Pak-A-Sak for 10 years. She was a member of Ligonier Church of Christ and T.O.P.S.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Court of Kendallville, Charlotte Louise Clark of Albion; four grandchildren, Chvonne Clark of Albion, Kevin Clark of Kimmel, Roger Clark Jr. of Kentucky, and Tefawn Lee Cooper of North Carolina; seven great grandchildren, SkyAnn, Kaelin, Nicholas, Isaac, Koyashea, Roman, Rylea; and one great-great grandchild, Dante. Also surviving are two brothers, Clayton (Karen) Sensibaugh of Ligonier, and Phillip (Jill) Sensibaugh of North Carolina; her companion’s children, Jim (Cynthia) Heintzelman of Pennsylvania, Rick (Lisa) Heintzelman of Ligonier, and Vicky (Eric)Tierney of Wawaka.
Mrs. Holmes was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Ellen, a son Bobby; a sister, Ann McCool, and her companion of 20 years, Joseph Heintzelman.
A funeral service in her honor will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 10 AM. A time of calling will be on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 4-7 PM and one hour prior to the funeral at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. A cremation committal will take place at a later date at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
Due to weather conditions, the family of Korean Holmes has decided to postpone her funeral service until 4 P.M. Monday January 27, 2014.
