Don Arthur Bish

Don Arthur Bish, age 84, of Wawaka, IN passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at his home. He was born on March 26, 1929 to Clyde and Vivian (Fought) Bish in Topeka, Indiana. On August 4, 1956 he married Mary Ellizabeth Tredway, she survives. He graduated from Wawaka High School in 1947 as Valedictorian of his class. He had worked as a dispatcher and truck driver at Frick Services in Wawaka, IN. He attended Wawaka Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed mowing grass and worked for the Elkhart Township taking care of the cemeteries and ball diamonds. Mr. Bish enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Mary of Wawaka; four children, Pamela Whitford of Houston Texas, Michael Bish of Goshen, Donald Bish of Brimfield, Cindy McGill of Albion; 10 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. Mr. Bish is also survived by a brother, Robert Bish of Wawaka, and a sister, Frances Myers of Albion. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother George from Syracuse, a sister Elizabeth from LaGrange, and a grandson Andrew Michael. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday January 2, 2014 from 2-6 PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center at a later date.
