Bethany Nicole Curton

Bethany Curton, 17, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2008, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on November 19, 1990, in Pontiac, MI, to Pastor Michael W. & Annette M. (Henson) Curton.

Bethany was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Goshen where she lead the children's VBS choir, was part of the APC sign team & sang in the church choir & as a soloist along with regularly singing on the praise team. She was a member of the Concord Singers, part of the Key Club & served on the Student Council. She collected shoes, watches, Star Wars memorabilia & had a love for Audrey Hepburn. Bethany possessed an amazing passion and talent for singing since the age of two. She never met a stranger and had the ability to illuminate a room & uplift those around her with her smile. Bethany graduated from Concord High School on May 30, 2008.

Survivors include Her Parents: Michael W. & Annette M. & , 1 Brother: Wesley A. Curton of Elkhart, 1 Sister: Lauren R. Curton of Elkhart, her Grandmother: C. Ann (Curton) & Jack Mick of Waterford, MI. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents: Luther E. & Flora A. Henson and Lloyd S. Curton.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7PM Wednesday, June 18, 2008, with viewing hours from 5-7PM prior to the service at The Apostolic Church located at 3655 N. Squirrel Road, Auburn Hills, MI, 48326.Pastors Steve Warman, Robbie Emery, & Richard Curton, along with Bishops William Parent & Roland Baker officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1-4 and 6-9PM Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, located at 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514. Also, from 11AM-1PM, prior to the funeral at the church on Friday.

The funeral service will he held at 1PM Friday, June 20, 2008, at the First Apostolic Church, located at 802 E. Mishawaka Avenue, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Pastors Stephen Trachsel, Luke St. Clair, Joe Collier, & Danny St. Clair officiating.

Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN.
