Harold P. Miller

Harold P. Miller, 80, of Ligonier, passed away on June 5, 2008 at Greencroft Health Care Facility, Goshen, IN.

He was born November 23, 1927 in Kimmell, IN to Calvin & Bessie (Hamman) Miller. He married Barbara Doebler on March 28, 1981. She Survives.

Harold retired from Silgan Plastics after 31 years of service & was a self employed carpenter. He was a member of the Ligonier Church of Christ for over 30 years, enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, riding his motorcycle and camping. Serving others brought him great joy.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Miller of Ligonier, 2 sons: Bob (Jennene) Miller of Kansas, Calvin "Phil" (Ellen) Miller II of Texas, 2 daughters: Mary (Ed) Herron of Virginia, Vicki Curtis of California, 2 stepsons: Joe (Melissa) Denton of Milford, Nathaniel (Jackie) Denton of Virginia, 1 sister: Arnelda Losee of Syracuse, 24 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was proceded in death by his first wife in 1961 and 1 infant son.

Services will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Ligonier Church of Christ and will be officiated by Rev. Mel Harrell. Burial will take place at the Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell.

Friends may call from 2-6PM on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at the funeral home & 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
