Carroll E. Cory

Carroll E. Cory, age 92, of Goshen, IN passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at The Maples in Goshen, IN. He was born on December 10, 1920 to Harvey & Ethel (Weeks) Cory in Syracuse, Indiana. On June 17, 1944 he married Violet Gray in Melrose, MA. He worked for Johnson Control in Goshen and retired after 29 years of service. Mr. Cory was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Cromwell, Indiana. He loved watching Chicago Cubs baseball. He is survived by his wife, Violet Cory of Goshen; three children, Roy (Elaine) Cory of Frisco, Texas, Carol (Terry) Sprague of Goshen, and Richard Cory of Marblehead, MA; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Connie Cory. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 5-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home with a Masonic Service being held at 7 PM. A funeral service will be held in Mr. Cory’s honor on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10AM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor John Hickey officiating. Burial will take place at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Goshen, IN 46526.
